How to learn Stenography?


    Stenography is speed writing if you will spend more and more time on it. It will become stronger day by day.

 

It's necessary and important to give a maximum of 3 or 4 hours from your daily routine. Then you will see how your Stenography becomes better.

 

    In this, your speed should be 100 wpm because it is on the air, if you do practice passionately so on your speed will increase more than 120 wpm.

 

    If you want to strengthen your steno word power, then you have to concentrate on it completely.

 

    One of the most important things, if you want to become a stenographer so you have to strengthen your hearing power because all stenography is based on it. If you listen carefully then will be able to write & though you have a hearing issue you will be unable to write steno and shall more difficult to become a stenographer.

 

    For beginners, you should write each stroke for remembering and do practice at least 20 or 30 times, till then you don't learn properly. After that when you shall start a new exercise so have to revise the previous chapter which you had done.

 

Shorthand is a vital language. If you are a secretary or assistant so you have to knowledge about stenography because in the journalism industry & court, speed is most important & in this industry, they have required at least 100wpm speed employees.

 

Important note for practices candidate Firstly, try to ask a friend to read aloud the passage which I will give you. Ideally, you want to write non-stop for 2 minutes, so if you are testing yourself at 60wpm ask them to read 120 words out loud over the passage of 2 minutes.  Similarly, a 70 wpm test would include 140 words and so on.

Slowly you might find that you have confidently written 200 words in shorthand in 2 minutes and are now you will congratulate yourself on achieving the industry standard of 100wpm.
