All
office work is done by a typist and stenographer.
Even though both of them are involved in
document preparation there is a slight difference that can be seen in the way to
prepare the documents.
The responsibility of the typist work to copy the documents, and use the typewriter to prepare documents formally.
Stenography use shorthand technique for verbal communication into documents.

A
typist can find a job in every sector of the business firm giving lucrative
opportunities to do a letter typing and memos preparing job.
The
typist can do a job in data handling service. They can find a job as a
receptionist, personal typists, and fax operators.
Stenography
& Opportunity
In
stenography, we can seek jobs in central and state governments department, and jobs
are recruited for stenographer vacancies.
Most of the recruitments are carried out by SSC, UPSC, and the Ministry
of Affairs.
Although both work in the same job profile, their responsibilities are quite different. Most organizations now prefer stenographers to typists because of their efficacy in stenography techniques. Thus today stenographers are more in demand than a typist.
