Is Shorthand necessary for stenographer?

    If you want to know this answer, yes, it is necessary to shorthand knowledge to the stenographer. Because without this stenographer is not a stenographer it is only a normal person.  So, would you like to become a stenographer, and then you have to know stenography.

 

   Besides, the rest of things knowledge is also necessary to a stenographer person.  Like as office responsibilities, their duties, maintaining the documents and legal and official notices, etc.

 

   The most important point is if you want to clear the SSC examination so then shorthand is mandatory without this you cannot apply for it and shorthand is an important part of the skill test.

 

   The candidate should have completed 10+2 and should have a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography, and should be able to pass the skill test.

  A stenographer an age should be 18 to 34 years to be eligible for the SSC examination then a shorthand person is applicable for entry.

      Yes, the stenography is still in use because it’s not outdated.     I know you all have curious thinking regarding stenography where it came from and still use or not.     Students stenography was ancient from 450bc, its name was cuneiform. this language was similar to Egyptian languages like images languages.     Although, the Chinese reinvented that and change the name from cuneiform into shorthand.     Chinese culture was the first to adopt a concise language for court reporting.     Rome and Greece have adopted this language in different ways.
