Difference between Stenographers and Transcriptionists
Transcriptionist:-
Transcription
and typist work are similar. Typists write the notes and turn the notes into
memos and prepare client conversations, but Transcriptionists produce a written
record of an audio recording.
Transcriptionists have their skill of talent. For example,
transcriptionists may be a nurse or an assistant, other legal transcriptionists
or typists for the court proceeding, and academic transcriptionists.
Transcriptionists
produce an accurate written record on an audio basis.
Stenographers:-
A
Stenographer types and keeps a written record of the real-time situation. They can type and write steno/shorthand very
quickly.
Sometimes,
stenographers keep the records and write the statements said by judges or
lawyers. They listen back from the
stenographer which they stated because they do not want any mistakes and errors
in the statements and only want the transparency in legal matters. So, this is the way stenographers are still
important and highly in use or demanded.
