When is the SSC Stenographer exam conducted?

        Hello Guys,

   There are some good news for you.

 The Staff Selection Commission will conduct a Stenography exam on CBT (computer-based examination) basis.

 This recruitment is conduct by SSC for the Grade C and Grade D posts to Ministries, Departments of the central government, and other subordinate offices.

   The application will release on the 5th December 2022 and the closing form application date is 31st December 2022.

    Most important thing is exam will conduct on April 2023.

    The SSC examination time will be 2 hours and will be 200 marks.

    The selection will have done based on a Computer Based Examination and Skill Test.

    Here are the exam pattern and syllabus details

    Type of questions – Objective/Multiple Choice Type

    The language of paper – Hindi and English. Part III is only in English.

    Negative Marking – 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer.

    Minimum Qualifying Marks – Minimum qualifying marks for CBE are as follows:

  • Unreserved - 30%
  • EWS/ OBC - 25%
  • SC/ ST/ PwD, ESM, and others - 20%

·             General Intelligence & Reasoning

·             General Awareness

·             English Language and Comprehension

 

    After that, the qualifying marks of CBE are determined by the commission. The skill test consists of a test of shorthand where candidates are given dictation in Hindi/English for 10 minutes and they have to transcribe the case on a computer.

      Yes, the stenography is still in use because it’s not outdated.     I know you all have curious thinking regarding stenography where it came from and still use or not.     Students stenography was ancient from 450bc, its name was cuneiform. this language was similar to Egyptian languages like images languages.     Although, the Chinese reinvented that and change the name from cuneiform into shorthand.     Chinese culture was the first to adopt a concise language for court reporting.     Rome and Greece have adopted this language in different ways.
