Stenographers vs Court Reporters

How to become a court stenographer?

  A stenographer needs to train to become a court stenographer. They should have a maximum of 2 to 4 years of training.   Being a Court Stenographer they need knowledge of new instruction or pre-established guidelines. They need to have some knowledge of concepts, documents, commonly used practices, etc. in the particular field. The court Stenographer work under immediate supervision.   Before becoming a court stenographer students need to clear the eligibility criteria of the course/program. The student needs to have passed class 12 from a recognized board (Central/State). The student can be a pass in any stream but should have secured a minimum of 60% in their class 12.   The age limit is set by the Government offices students need to be 18 to 30 years. Then they give a high court test/exam of computer base after that give skill test of shorthand then they will be eligible for a stenographer to court.  

Can a stenographer become a section Officer and Inspector?

  Yes, they can become section officers and inspectors by their education or qualification.   A Stenographer if he will be from grade C or D he will give the test for promotion after that he can apply for the officer or inspector job.   He can also apply for the promotion.   But, in some cases, it will not applicable to apply for the inspector or officer jobs, because some have a different course of knowledge and qualification.   Some posts have different criteria if any stenographer is eligible for this post then he will qualify and apply for the promotion to inspector or officer.   So that any stenographer can apply and become an office or inspector after the stenographer post.

  Google can't translate the shorthand. What is the course for shorthand and can be learned in how many days?

What is the requirement for stenography?

  As stenography and cryptography are closely related.   Cryptography is a jumble word message that one cannot understand. Whereas, stenography is hidden writing there is no awareness of the existence of the messages.   Cryptography has data awareness whereas, stenography has the structure to remain the same data.   Stenography support all confidential and authentication data whereas, cryptography support all confidentiality, authentication, data integrity, and non-repudiation.   Stenography messages may not be encrypted.
